In addition to school supplies that ASEF has been providing to all students, in 2018 it introduced an easy to use sanitary belt to all its female students to wear during the menstruation period. Each student gets one per year at the same time as they receive school supplies.
This idea came up because we knew that most of our female students miss classes during that menstruation period because of not enough knickers, and these sanitary belts help them in terms of hygiene.
They are made in Rwanda, in Kitenge fabric which makes them beautiful and unique and are adjustable stripes to change according to different sizes, they just add the sanitary pad on top of the sanitary belt and they are ready to start a successful day!
